This Saturday sees the much-anticipated return of our Annual Fun Races, to coincide with the RNLI coffee morning and fresh produce sale.
With the cruisers starting their racing at 12 midday, we’ll have plenty of space around the moorings to make sure our sailors are well challenged.
Both the Dale Morris and the Harris cup will be raced for this week, so come down, enjoy some coffee cake in aid of the RNLI and then get the kids (and yourself) out racing.
Harris ‘Parent and Child’ Trophy
Optimist sailors, grab a parent for the Parent and Child Race. Starting at the slip, parents sail the Optimist round a named mark and back to the slip before handing over to their partner. The child will sail the same course with the winning boat first to finish at the slip.

Dale Morris
All sailors under 16 are welcome to participate in the Dale Morris Perpetual Trophy. Traditionally starting at Stoney Cove, one sailor swims to the boat where their partner is waiting. Both sail to the first mark and perform a ‘man overboard’, then sail to the second mark and perform a capsize. First boat across the finish line wins.
The race will start (due to high water) on the slip this year.
NO PADDLING WILL BE PERMITTED!
Any boat caught paddling will be DSQ without a hearing.

We’re still looking for offers of baked goods in aid of the RNLI – please contact Trish Power if you’re able to donate something: 086 832 5930.
