Basic Navigation & Safety Course

The club is now offering a basic navigation and safety course for sailors who want to expand their knowledge and experience.

Run over one weekend, the course covers charts and publications, safety, engine checks, buoyage, tidal awareness, visual and electronic navigation, pilotage, rules of the road, anchoring and weather forecasts.

Experience

No Previous Experience is necessary. The course is aimed at anyone new to sailing, motor boating, sea angling, and diving.

Duration

The course will be run over a weekend.

Cost

The price is €150 for members of WHSC and €200 for non-members.
