Reminder: Jumble Sale Saturday

Inventory has been building nicely for a ‘Bring/Buy/Donate Jumble Sale on Saturday. Have you checked your attic / shed / in the boat / under the bed ?

Bring your pre-loved, wetsuits, life-jackets, salopettes, jackets, cags etc for sale or donation and possibly source a good replacement and bargain! Proceeds will be used to fund prizes for junior sailing.

How?

Items can be dropped to the club bar on Friday May 31st 6-8pm, immediately preceeding the event on Saturday morning or at anytime from now to the club bar. Everything should be securely labelled with name, phone number and desired price .Monies raised from sale and unsold items must be collected at 2pm after the event.

Assist Schools and First Time Sailors

Surplus gear will be used to support “Sealegs”, ‘School Sailing’, ‘Try Sailing’ and ‘Adult Sailing’ Programs where required.

Bar Steward Required – Waterford Harbour Sailing Club 2018

Waterford Harbour Sailing Club is a community sailing club, based in the picturesque village of Dunmore East. During the months of June and July it is a bustling hub of sailors and people enjoying the facilities of our newly refurbished clubhouse overlooking the harbour and sea. Our members range from young to old and all enjoy the facilities whether for sailing or for the social activities.

To manage these facilities Waterford Harbour Sailing Club wish to recruit a:

Are you a person committed to providing a quality service to our club members in Dunmore East this summer?

The role will include:

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the Bar and Clubhouse area.
  • Maintaining high standards and quality service.
  • Training and managing junior staff.
  • Ordering stock
  • Some Food preparations

The ideal candidate will have previous bar experience, excellent customer service skills and be available to work flexible hours as required.
