Waterford Harbour Sailing Club

Dear members and friends,

On behalf of the Committee I have pleasure in welcoming you all to our website.

As we embark upon another season I feel that it is vital that we re-commit ourselves to the core values of our Club.

We are bound together by a shared love of this wonderful sport of sailing, and the harder the economic times, the more we need the stress-relief that WHSC offers, both on the water and in the Clubhouse.

Our children too will benefit greatly from the opportunities this sport provides.  Apart from the physical aspect, I believe sailing builds character and independence in a way no other sport can.  Every time they push off from the slip they begin another adventure, while we have the satisfaction of knowing we are helping equip them to better face whatever challenges may come their way later in life.

We take particular pride in offering a warm welcome to all visitors whether or not they are sailors, and we are always happy to see new faces in the Clubhouse.

The members of the incoming Committee are naturally concerned that the activities and infrastructure of WHSC are to the satisfaction of its members, so if you have any criticisms or suggestions I hope that you will pass them on and that you will find us receptive.

Our Club will survive and prosper to the extent that members support its activities, so we hope to see you in Dunmore often throughout the coming season.
