Staying Connected – Sync. WHSC Events Calendar to your phones.

You may all be aware of the WHSC events calendar on our website (available here), but you may not know it’s also easy to keep it sync’d with your phone.

How To Subscribe WHSC Calendar

On iPhone, iPad

You can sync Google Calendar with the Calendar app that comes on your iPhone or iPad.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap Calendar.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Add account and then Google.
  5. Enter your email address and then Next.
  6. Enter your password. If you don’t have the latest operating system and you use 2-Step Verification, enter an app password instead of your regular password.
  7. Touch Next.
  8. Emails, contacts, and calendar events will now sync directly with your Google Account. To sync only your calendar, turn off the other services.
  9. Open the Calendar app on your iPhone to see your Google Calendar events.

On Android

Subscribe to the calendar using your google account (the one you are using on your phone)
  1. Make sure you are logged into google https://calendar.google.com (you will see your personal calendar if logged in)
  2. Go to the WHSC website calendar then click the ‘Add to google calendar’ button at the base of the calendar.
  3. You will see the calendar subscription appear under “Other Calendars” at https://calendar.google.com.
  4. Confirm that the subscription is working by verifying that the schedule appears in the calendar grid.
Configure you Android device to sync to your Google calendar.
  1. Go into you device’s Calendar app, in the settings make sure your Google account is checked, then select ‘Sync Now’.
  2. You may need to select the Google account calendar, then under “Other calendars” check the subscribed calendars the Android device is to sync with (by default, the “Other calendars”may not be checked).
  3. If the WHSC calendar fails to appear go Android Settings > Apps > All and try clicking CLEAR CACHE and CLEAR DATA for ‘Calendar Storage’ .
